After you make a safeguarding referral
Overview
After you make a safeguarding referral:
- Your referral will be checked by a senior practitioner within the Safeguarding Adults Team and assigned a priority (low/medium/high) based on the information you have provided.
- Your referral will then be allocated.
- If you have more information or updates that may change your referral's priority, or you feel that you need a response the same day, please call the MASH team on 01332 642855. The line is open from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) from 9am to 5pm. If there is an out of hours emergency, please call 01332 956606.
- While your referral is being processed, resources may be available to help you or the person you have referred before a worker from the Safeguarding Adults Team is able to call you. Please take time to read through the information, as there may be some additional actions you should take.
