Derby City and Derbyshire Safeguarding Adults Boards have joint safeguarding adults policies and procedures.

Our practice guidance

This operational guidance is for all agencies, staff and volunteers who have a responsibility for the care, support and protection of adults. It has been developed by both the Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Adults Boards with contributions from several partner agencies. The guidance, which is attached to this page, will be updated regularly to ensure that the information remains current.

Adult safeguarding decision making guidance

In addition, the adult safeguarding decision making guidance intends to provide guidance for Derby City Council, its multi-agency partners and provider services to support decision making in relation to completing adult safeguarding referrals.

These policies and procedures are reviewed regularly and are a standing item at quarterly board meetings.
